Abstract: A conceptual design model is established by integrating theory of innovation problem solving (TRIZ) and axiomatic design (AD) to solve problems for product innovation. Firstly, under the constraints, TRIZ and AD are applied to construct the mapping relation of function-structure, and then establish and resolve the original design matrix. Secondly, judge whether the original matrix is coupled or not with axiomatic design theory, if not, the innovation scheme is generated. If it is a coupling matrix, then TRIZ toolbox turn the real problem into standard engineering parameters to achieve the purpose of eliminating coupling. Then, feasibility of the optimal scheme is verified to make virtual simulation using ADAMS on seaweed planter manipulator. Above all, the reliability about the key parts of the seaweed planter manipulator is analyzed using weighted linear response surface method, and the size of the corresponding reliability is obtained, then the reliability is verified for the design result.
