NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF 3-D GAP TYPE NONLINEAR DYNAMIC CONTACT-IMPACT CHARACTERISTICS FOR GEAR TRANSMISSION

Abstract: A mixed finite element formula for 3-D dynamic contact-impact problems is give; the Fortran program for 3-D dynamic contact-impact finite element analysis is developed. Using this software, the impact characteristics are simulated when either the sudden load applied to driving gear or the meshing-in impact taken place. The procedure described is useful tool for gap type nonlinear dynamic analysis in multi power flow gear transmission.
