EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF DYNAMIC LOAD OF HIGH SPEED HELICAL GEARS DOUBLE-CIRCULAR-ARC CIRCULAR-ARC TOOTH PROFILE

Abstract: The dynamic root stress of high speed helical gears with double-circle-arc tooth profile and the dynamic factor of two groups of those gears are measured by micro strain gauges. The measured method and regular pattern of the dynamic stress were gained from this experimental study. It is found, in the same conditions, the dynamic factor will decrease with load increasing, will increase with rotation rate increasing, when rotation rate lesses resonance rotation rate, and will decrease with rotation rate increasing when rotation rate exceed its resonance rate.
