Abstract: The heat transfer and pressure drop characteristics for four types of plate fin-and-tube heat exchangers widely used in air conditioning industry in China are inverstiguted experimentally. The airside heat transfer and pressure drop correlations are obtained in the Reynolds number range from 5 ×10[2]~5×10[3], which is commonly encountered in industrial application. A comprehensive analysis and evaluation of heat transfer performance are performed. It is believed that the correlations and the performance evaluation results presented will be very helpful in the optimum design of heat exchangers.
