PLASTIC DYNAMIC RESPONSE OF TURBO-BLADE ROTATING IN HIGH SPEED UNDER IMPACT BY FLYING OBJECT

Abstract: The plastic dynamic response of a turbo-blade rotating in high speed under impact by a flying object is analyzed. The problem is modeled by a rigid-perfectly, plastic beam with variable cross-section rotating about the turbo-disc centre, subjected to the impact of a rigid body at its free end. The emphasis is focused on the effects of various factors such as the ratio of the mass, the centrifugal force caused by the rotation of the turbo-disc and the input energy on the instantaneous deformation of the blade.
