Abstract: An accurate design model is given, which is applied to design carbide gear shaping cutter with any tooth profile (also applied to ordinary one). Involute profile cutter is taken for example to verify that the new scheme is superior to traditional one. Furthermore, the manufacture model of carbide gear shaping cutter is derived, which is corresponding to the new design model (also applied to ordinary cutter). Involute gear shaper cutter is taken as example again to verify the practicability of the new scheme and the reliability of the manufacture model.
