Abstract

Abstract: On the basis of analyzing mapping mechanism, a feature mapping system based on the feature model in the enviroment of concurrent engineering is described. The system is organized into four parts: pre-processing, filtration, selection and aggregation, by which the mapping of design feature into manufacturing feature is implemented. Therefore, the conversion of product information on the feature level is realized. An example is presented to verify the system.
