Modern Design and Manufacturing Technology for Accurate Dental Implanting

Abstract: Experience of surgeon is relied heavily in dental implant in China, and the precision and quality of surgery need to be improve eagerly. Aiming at this problem, modern design and manufacturing technology such as image processing, three dimension tissue reconstruction, rapid prototyping manufacturing are combined with medicine, to construct accurate dental implant system. Important problems including system freamwork, 3D oral reconstruction, guide tool design and physical model manufacturing are studied deeply, and surgical guides of dental implant are designed and manufactured, then applied in 11 clinical operations. Clinical application illustrates that, with accurate dental implanting system based on modern design and manufacturing techniques, the efficiency and quality of implant operation can be improved effectively.
