Abstract: The complex engineering mechanisms are usually of high cost, long term schedules, and small number of experimental specimens. In order to deal with the problem, a hybrid simulative method for mechanism motion reliability analysis is proposed based on the mechanic-liquid coupling model. Considering the rule of movement and performance of the engineering mechanism system, the principal failure modes are defined and the corresponding failure criterions are determined quantitatively. The simulative model is built and updated by integration of data source for mechanism motion reliability analysis. Using the integration of commercial software, including 3D CAD software, multi-body analysis software, finite element analysis software and control system modeling software, and combining with the classic reliability analysis method, an integrated platform of simulative experiment system for mechanism motion reliability analysis is developed. The simulative experiment analysis and evaluation of the mechanism motion reliability can be performed, and further provide plenty of useful information of the future reliability design. Finally, the feasibility of the system is verified by the reliability analysis of a simulative landing gear drop test.
