Abstract: This paper presents the load distribution, the motion of the rolling bodies and the fatigue life of high speed rolling bearings under arbitrary loads according to the raceway control hypothesis. The analysis has been programmed out. Using the program, a single bearing or several bearings mounted on one shaft can be analyzed. And the static of quazi-static analysis can be performed in considering and handling respectively arbitrary, symmetric loads and thrust load acting on the shaft. A new numerical method is also presented in solving those basic equations so that it has better convergence and the lower demand on the initial data than Newton-Raphson method. After we computed some bearing on a shaft in a type of engine by using this program, it shows that it is satisfactory in practice.
