WEAR，LUBRICATION AND MATCHING OF CERAMIC CUTTING TOOLS WITH THE WORKPIECE MATERIALS

Abstract

Abstract: By analyzing the issues in the development and application of ceramic cutting tools，the wear and lubrication of ceramic cutting tools are reviewed. Reasonable matching of ceramic cutting tools with the workpiece materials is proposed. It is indicated that ceramic cutting tools are not universal，every kind of ceramic tools fulfill only certain workpiece materials. Limitation for their application often relates to the wear，lubrication and matching of ceramic cutting tools with the workpiece materials.
