Abstract: In the cases of using X-ray stress measurement method to analyse the residual stress in machine parts with complicated shape, the ordinary sin technigue sometimes may not be suitable because of X-ray being shaded by some members of the parts. In order to over come such difficulties, some special techniques are proposed in this paper. In these tehcniques, the author has paid attention to the problem of how to judge the reliability of measurement results.
