Abstract: The promotion of electric vehicles is a crucial strategic option to satisfy the national energy strategy and to achieve the goal of carbon neutrality in 2060. As the core of energy system in electric vehicle, batteries affect the key performance of the vehicle including power, economy, safety, and life span. The testing and evaluation standard system ensures the performance and safety of batteries in large-tonnage scale. Therefore, sorting out battery standards is of great significance for promoting industry technological breakthroughs and industrial upgrading. The article compares specifications of battery standards domestic and overseas. Meanwhile, electric vehicle standards related batteries is included. The paper mainly focuses on the basic general performance, safety performance, electrical performance, cycle life of batteries. For in-depth analysis and comparison, it comprehensively analyzes the specific content of GB, ISO, IEC and GTR standards, and compares the test content of mandatory standards with recommended standards from battery cells to system level, especially for domestic GB 38031, GB/T 31467 and EVS-GTR first edition standard. Thus, the development history and technology increment of the battery evaluation standard system domestic and abroad are summarized. Current standard has been fully integrated with the international standards. And the focus of the standard has also been turned to the performance testing and verification of the battery system, which is more suitable for the group form of batteries on bored. Applicating lithium-ion batteries widely in the field of electric vehicles and updating battery standards timely promote each other, providing reference for practitioners in the field of battery testing and electric vehicle evaluation.
