Abstract: To address the problem that the importance of sustainable design requirements in the product conceptual design phase is difficult to assess accurately, a sustainable design demands evaluation model considering the inconsistency of user weight and demand interactive is proposed to support the environmental impact assessment of product development in the downstream process. An improved Kano model based on the trust function is proposed to obtain the users’ trust to integrate the evaluation data of sustainable design demand, and the initial weight of each sustainable design demand is obtained by using information entropy. On this basis, the fuzzy Decision-making and trial evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) is used to construct a directed graph of the impact relationship of demands, a comprehensive weight function considering the demands interactive impact is formed to realize the ranking and importance analysis of sustainable design demands. Finally, a refrigerator is used as a case study to realize the evaluation and analysis of 13 sustainable design demands’ importance, and the results comparison and sensitivity analysis are carried out to verify the reliability of the proposed approach.
