Research on the Degradation of the Axial Natural Frequency of the Double-Nut Ball Screw Feed Drive System

Abstract: To investigate the degradation of the axial nature frequency of the double-nut ball screw feed drive system, the dynamic equation of the feed drive system on the basis of the distributed parameter method and lumped parameter method is proposed, and the axial stiffness degrading model of the feed drive system based on Archard wear theory is established, on the bais of the axial stiffness degrading model and dynamic equation, the axial nature frequency degrading model is summarized. The frequency response curve of the feed drive system within 1.485 million revolutions is collected, the result shows that the natural frequency dropped to 143.2 Hz from 148 Hz. And the maximum prediction error not exceeding 1 Hz, which strongly proves the accuracy of the axial nature frequency degrading model.
