Research on Comprehensive Evaluation Method of CNC Machine Tools Based on RAMS

Abstract: As a manufacturing machine for modern industries such as aerospace, marine ships and rail transit, CNC machine tools have complex structure, strong coupling function system and variable operating conditions, especially in recent years its rapid development in the direction of high-speed, high-precision and intelligence, making its safety and reliability has become a key issue restricting the development of the industry. The traditional evaluation method of NC machine tool is analyzed from single dimension such as reliability or maintainability, which leads to one-sidedness and limitation of the evaluation result and can't satisfy the requirement of all-round analysis and evaluation. Based on the concept of RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety and Availability), a multi-dimensional evaluation index of NC machine tools is presented. combined with the total failure time method, Weibull proportional failure rate model, grey clustering method, fuzzy theory and analytic hierarchy process. And finally the comprehensive evaluation method of RAMS for NC machine tools is established. The validity of Rams comprehensive evaluation method is verified by taking the spindle functional parts of NC machine tools as an example.
