Abstract: With the development of human industrial civilization, remarkable technological progress has been made in the fields of petrochemical, nuclear power, aerospace and aviation industries. In the actual service process, a lot of complex and key equipment is often subjected to cyclic loadings at room temperature or high temperature. Therefore, for the structural integrity assessment of key components, the development of robust and accurate cyclic constitutive model is quite necessary and critical. In this work, the development history and latest research progress of macro-phenomenological cyclic constitutive models, meso-cyclic constitutive models and crystal plastic cyclic constitutive models are reviewed and summarized. Furthermore, the finite element implementation method and application of various models are reviewed, while their advantages and disadvantages are also summarized. The development trend of the cyclic constitutive models in the future is also prospected.
