Study on Torsional Isolator and Absorber Comprehensive Vibration Reduction Technology for Vehicle Powertrain

Abstract: The equivalent model of a real vehicle powertrain system is built, and the engine torque excitation model is established. The main harmonic frequency is calculated by the engine speed and harmonic order as the dominant frequency of the external excitation torque. Then the forced vibration analysis of the system is carried out to obtain the deterioration frequency band of the vibration response, the equivalent model is simplified, the natural vibration characteristics are analyzed to explore the causes of the vibration deterioration. According to the natural vibration characteristics, the torsional vibration isolator and the vibration absorber performance parameters are matched, and these two devices are integrated into the powertrain system for simulation calculation. The vibration reduction effects of the two devices are compared, and the difference between the two devices is analyzed from the mechanism of vibration reduction. Finally, the torsional vibration isolator and the vibration absorber are combined into a vibration damping module, the performance parameters are matched, the structure is designed and the frequency tuning control scheme is formulated. The simulation results verify the excellent vibration reduction performance of the damping module.
