Abstract: In allusion to the problem of designing the similarity model of rotating laminated composite thin-wall short cylinder shell, a determination method of the applicable structure size interval of distortion test model is put forward under the condition of the same nature characteristics. With the method of combining the sensitivity analysis and governing equation analysis, a distortion scaling laws of the model of rotating laminated composite thin-wall short cylinder shell is established. Under the study of the applicable structure size interval which kept the same first-order nature characteristic (nature frequency and vibration mode), a laminated composite cylinder shell which is in common use is investigated as an example. Numerical analysis method is employed to obtain the applicable structure size interval and its boundary functions. The results reveal that this work lays a theoretical foundation for the similar model structural design for such rotating laminated composite thin-wall short cylinder shell.
