IMPROVEMENT IN MASS CUSTOMIZATION

Abstract: Mass customization is becoming the major production model in the future. Customer-oriented quality assurance pushes industry to face to the voice of market and customers Study on customer-oriented quality improvement in mass customization is going to search systematic methodology to solve the most crucial and difficult problems which are puzzling mass customization industry for years. The quality improving based on “customer satisfaction”, “product platform” has been put forward, which helps industrial enterprises rapidly and continually provide reliable and quality-improved products to promote customer satisfaction. By discussing the five system elements, customer satisfaction, product platform, quality improvement organization system, process model and information flow, and the related elements, a multi-view integrated model is presented, which emphasizes improving the quality of final products by continually improving the quality of “product platform”, and enhances enterprises’ capability in meeting the requirements of customer individuals and groups, and aims at the customers' satisfactions.
