Optimum and Robust Design of Electromagnet for the Brake of Vehicle Based on Integrated Design Environment

Abstract: According to the former research achievements of electromagnet for the brake of vehicle and through the analysis of the work mechanism of the brake and the force situation of the electromagnet, the algorithm flow of optimal design of the electromagnet based on the integrated design platform is established. This guarantee the designed electromagnet to have the characteristics of anti-overturn and even wear, so the computer-aided design of the electromagnet with new unsymmetrical structure is realized. Through analyzing the test data of the electromagnet, the controlled factor and the noise factor can be divided by the different influence on the output features. The robust design method based on the response surface model is introduced in the electromagnet design and the second-order response surface models of its suction and the suction’ signal to noise ratio are founded with regressive method. Combining traditional robust design methods with modern optimal methods by using MATLAB optimization function of Fmincon, the robust point and output characteristics of the electromagnet are obtained. Meanwhile the robust design method founded on the integrated design platform is realized.
