Abstract: The combined boundary point method (CBPM) is applied to the calculation on the acoustic radiation problem caused by a vibrating simulation axial box of the lathe tool. From the comparison of the calculated results by CBPM, the measured ones and those of the distributed source boundary point method (DSBPM), it is revealed that the CBPM is an effective method for the calculation of acoustic radiation problem.
