Abstract: Water-lubricated bearings in ship are prone to produce plenty of heat resulting in the rupture of liquid film and the failure in lubrication under extreme conditions. For the unclear problems of lubrication performances and tribological characteristics of the water-lubricated double liner bearing under thermal effect, the fluid-structure-thermal lubrication dynamic model are established, the lubrication and friction properties of water film and the variation of liner structure of the bearing considering thermal effect are studied. The influences of rotational speed and eccentricity ratio on the temperature rise of the bearing are analyzed. The influences of the liner thickness on the heat dissipation of the bearing are proved. The internal mechanisms of the large temperature difference between liner 1 and liner 2 are revealed. The variation laws of deformation, stress and strain of the liner structure are demonstrated. The results enrich the theoretical system of water-lubricated multi-liner bearings, and provide a theoretical basis for the localization of such bearings.
