Abstract: In order to study transmission characteristics of the shock wave in the confined field, a numerical simulation model based on realizable k-ε turbulence model is established for the shock wave transmission process in the launching box. The feasibility of the model is verified by comparing with the experimental data. On this basis, numerical method is used to analyze the shock wave transmission process and load characteristics in the launching box. The influence of initial shock distance kL, effective flow area kS and closure opening-pressure p0 on shock wave transmission is studied. The results show that, when kL varies from 0.1 to 4, the pressure on the headcover first increases, then decreases, and finally increases with the increase of kL, and the inflection points are 0.3 and 0.8. When kS varies from 0.1 to 3, the pressure on the headcover first increases and then decreases with the increase of kS. When p0 varies from 1 Pa to 2.25 Pa, the pressure on the headcover increases with the increase of p0.
