Research of Process Condition Monitoring Based on Multi-sensor Information Fusion

Abstract: Process condition monitoring is the premise and foundation of intelligent monitoring. Multi-sensor information fusion is the integration of multiple sensor systems, which can collect sensor signals that characterize the processing state, and predict or identify or diagnose different target states through fusion analysis, so as to improve the surface quality, processing accuracy and processing efficiency of the processed workpiece. The principle of condition monitoring based on multi-sensor information fusion and the key technology of multi-sensor information fusion are analyzed. The research results of domestic and foreign scholars using multi-sensor information fusion to monitor the target states such as tool state (tool wear), part state (surface roughness) and machine operation state (fault state) in machining process are reviewed. Through the summary and prospect, the existing problems of multi-sensor information fusion application in machining process condition monitoring are pointed out, which provides a solid foundation for the research of machining process informatization and intelligence.
