Abstract: Tightly coupled physical man-machine systems are used to enhance and reconstruct human motion functions, and have been widely used in fields such as helping the elderly and the disabled, rehabilitation medicine, and national defense and military. The paper surveys on the interaction of tightly coupled physical man-machine systems. Through functional division, the system is divided into three aspects:functional replacement, functional rehabilitation and functional enhancement, and the research status of each type of system is introduced in detail. Then, the status quo of human-computer interaction interface is explained from two aspects of implanted sensing and external sensing. Then the perceptual intention recognition algorithm of tightly coupled human-computer interaction are analyzed. Finally, the future development is prospected and summarized.

Key words: tightly coupled physical human-machine system, functional replacement, functional rehabilitation, human-computer interaction interface, intention recognition
