Abstract: Radial force of stent is an important mechanical index to evaluate complications such as device migration and vessel restenosis. Studies about the radial force of stent are relatively rare at present. The influence of main parameters on radial force is investigated comprehensively through the orthogonal design and finite element analysis. The results showed that the diameter of stent wire had the most significant influence on the radial force, and the influence from the main parameters on the radial force follows an order: wire diameter > axial height > strut number> strut radius. In addition, the variation of the radial force could change the stress environment on the surface of vessel, which might injure the vessel. This study has guiding significance for the design and optimization of the stent structure in the future.
