Stress-free Manufacturing Technology

Abstract: The generation of residual stress and its influence on mechanical component performance are summarized from the perspective of no-stress manufacturing technology, and the important theoretical and practical significance of studying the determination and regulation of residual stress distribution for guaranteeing production, stabilizing product quality and prolonging product life are analyzed. According to different measurement methods and relief methods of residual stress, the definition, function and significance of stress-free manufacturing technology are given, as well as graphical symbol representations of residual stress of mechanical component, including residual stress gradient, distribution uniformity and 2D distribution. In the end, the structure of stress-free manufacturing technology system and the logical relation between them are given. The future development of stress-free manufacturing technology and the promotion of machining and manufacturing are prospected.
