Abstract: In order to explore the effect of low ammonia concentration of the base solution a (<0.66) on theoretical cycle efficiency of Kalina cycle system (kcs-34) η in the case of maintaining the import and export temperature and quality flow of heat source unchanged. By changing the inlet temperature of working fluid at evaporator T8 and the ammonia concentration of the rich ammonia solution b, it is obtained the relationship between the theoretical cycle efficiency η and the ammonia concentration of the base solution a. The results show that, when b is unchanged, with the increase of T8, the biggest theoretical cycle efficiency ηmax will increase, but the feasible range of a shows the tendency of decrease. When T8 is unchanged, with the increase of b, the biggest theoretical cycle efficiency ηmax and the corresponding a will both increase, and the feasible range of a also shows the tendency of increase as well, at the same time, When T8 remains unchanged and a is less than 0.36, the theoretical cycle efficiency η decreases with the increase of b, and when a is more than 0.4, the theoretical cycle efficiency η increases with the increase of b.
