Optimal Design of Passenger’s Protection Devices in Manned Airdrop Based on Airbag Cushion

Abstract: In order to improve ability of manned airdrop protection, the airbag-chair and neck protection device are designed to ensure the safety of passengers. The numerical model of airbag is validated by the vehicle airdrop experiments and the micro multi-objective genetic algorithm with high efficiency is adapted to searching the key parameters of the airbag dynamic characteristic. The optimization results demonstrate that the proposed method not only gives optimal design of airbag protection devices with reducing experiment times and cutting down experiment cost , but also the several dynamic characteristic of airbag which could fulfill different needs are acquired. The method can also be used in the field of other airdrop protections.
