Abstract: Near-field acoustical holography is a powerful tool for identifying sound sources and visualizing sound field. By recording the acoustic pressures in the near-field, the acoustic quantities in the whole 3D field can be reconstructed and predicted. For using this method to identify the noise source in underwater sources, the principle of near-field acoustical holography based on measurement of particle velocity is presented. The numerical simulation is conducted. The feasibility and accuracy of vector hydrophone array applied in underwater near-field holographic measurement are verified through tests. The test results show the merits of the underwater NAH with particle velocity in the reconstruction of sound field, identification and localization of the noise sources.
