Abstract: In order to minimize the production cost, an optimal hedging point policy method of production control in tree-structured manufacturing system is presented. Control strategy and optimization objective of the manufacturing system is determined, and simulation algorithm for calculating system cost function is proposed. Characteristic variable of buffer is set, and an optimal hedging point algorithm is proposed on the basis of system analysis. The algorithm continuously detects the characteristic variable of each buffer, and the hedging point is adjusted on the basis of the characteristic variable, thereby realizing fast optimization of the hedging point. This method is compared to the genetic algorithm through simulation experiments, which demonstrate that it has better optimization performance than the genetic algorithm.
