Abstract: As the two cameras that constitute the stereo vision sensor in the body-in-white visual inspection system can hardly obtain ideal stereo image-pair under the condition of inadequate illumination, or as the damage of a camera will cause the system unable to work normally, a reparability technology of vision sensor is proposed. On the basis of the stereo vision measurement model, the structured light measurement technology is introduced by means of the line-structured light projector. The stereo vision sensor and the left and right structured light sensors are used to simultaneously realize the measurement of feature points, thereby greatly improving the stability and reliability of the measured data. The research results indicate that the technology is feasible. The relative deviation of the calculated value of space point distance from the actual distance value is superior to 0.5%, so the technology can fulfill the repair task well and realize the uninterrupted measurement of feature points.
