Green Manufacturing Technology Connotation and System Framework Based on Product Life Cycle

Abstract: Based on the product life cycle, the flow-chart describing the technology connotation of green manufacturing (GM) is proposed. A technology system framework is established, which includes four layers: product life cycle process technology layer, GM characters technology layer, GM assessment and monitoring technology layer and GM supporting technology layer. Product life cycle process technology consists of green design, green process, green packaging, green recycling and remanufacturing technology; GM characters technology details the product life cycle process technology from the technology characters perspective; GM assessment and monitoring technology is composed of GM assessment technology, GM data collection and GM process monitoring technology, etc.; GM supporting technology consists of GM database and knowledge base, GM technology code and standards, information support technology and so on. The framework mentioned above can provide a technology system reference model for the GM research and application.
