Abstract: The 3D mathematical models for oil atomized nozzle with micro-expanded tangent channel are presented, the SIMPLE method is adopted, the flow energy loss atomized characters are gotten in different items, and the optimium structure parameters are also presented. While the initial oil pressure p0=0.8 Mpa, ux,0=0, uy,0=0, uz,0=0 m/s, the circumfluence at the exit of the nozzle isn’t exactly formed with q =6°. The lower energy loss and lower pressure decrease are gotten with the optimum structure parameters(n=3~4, L≤2.5, q =5°~6°, a/b=1.2 and swirling chamber Rx/rb≥2.5) of rotary atomized nozzle at low pressure. The experiments are made and the results show that the rotary atomized nozzle with micro-expanded tangent can still keep the better performances of atomization and stable flow at low pressure. The nozzle would be widely adequate to the ignition and combustion-supporting in thermal power plant, chemistry engineering and structural material engineering etc.
