DYNAMICS OF MAGLEV VEHICLE/ GUIDEWAY SYSTEMS(II)——MODELING AND SIMULATION

Abstract: A state-of-the-art review on maglev vehicle/ guide- way system dynamics including modeling, numerical simulation and dynamic performance evaluation is presented. As maglev train technology advanced towards the level of commercial application, dynamic simulations of maglev vehicle/guideway system used more detail and complex coupling models. And great progress is made in studies on the maglev vehicle/guideway vertical interaction, curve negotiation and random vibration. In the future, the large system model considering the bogie structure, the levitation and guidance control system, aerodynamic effect and linear motor force should be established to simulate truly dynamic behaviors of maglev train system, which make it necessary to explore new high-efficient numerical method solving the nonlinear time-varied differential equations of maglev vehicle/guideway controller system. Furthermore, studies on the experimental verifications of dynamic model and simulation, the maglev train longitudinal dynamics, the dynamic optimization of maglev train system, and the specifications for evaluating dynamic performances should be carried out as soon as possible.
