APPLICATION OF HEURISTIC SIMULATION OPTIMIZATION TECHNIQUE ON DESIGN OF AUTONOMOUS MANUFACTURING ISLAND

Abstract: Autonomous manufacturing island is a new manufacturing structure, which has many advantages, compared to traditional manufacturing structures. But how to build an efficient autonomous manufacturing island often causes difficulties to manufactory managers. That means, which kind of machine tools and how many machine tools should be included in a autonomous manufacturing island is a big problem. Traditional optimizing methods can’t solve the problem. Therefore heuristic simulation optimization technique is adopted. How to build the simulation optimization system of equipment allocation is presented in detail, which can help manufactory managers ob-tain reasonable allocation of machine tools.
