Abstract: As its high efficiency and cleanness, fuel cell hybrid electrical vehicles(FCHEVs) have become the focus of the public. The control strategy, which influences the economic and dynamic performance of the vehicle, is one of the main aspects of vehicle system design. Four control strategies, constant charging voltage strategy, power distribution strategy based on bus voltage, power distribution according to the battery SOC(State fo charge), fuzzy logic control strategy based on both battery SOC and motor load, are presented. Through simulation calculation of model fuel cell city bus of National 863 Project, these four control strategies are compared and discussed. Analyses show that the fuzzy logic control is more robust and more suitable for FCHEVs.
