Abstract: The flow field and temperature field of the wind tunnel, and the design variable of the cooling system about the nickel-hydrogen piles are simulated with the CFD software STAR-CD and the FEA software ANSYS. The simulation shows that the structures of the wind tunnel and bracket are reasonable relatively. By comprision as the number of the vent in the radiator increase, the airflow speed and the temperature field become equal and the average temperature of the piles decreas. In order to improve the wind tunnel’s capability of heat transfer farther, some measures are taken, and it is validated that effects are proved with the simulation tools and through the field-test.
