Abstract: An experimental platform of a 20 kW fuel cell engine was designed to carry out some experiments and dev- elop higher performance fuel cell engines. Effects of the param- eters of pressure, flow rate and temperature of the air system on the engine are researched on, and the hydrogen pressure-drop characteristic is tested. It is found that under stated hydrogen stoichiometry there is a linear relationship between the hydrogen pressure-drop and the stack current, which can be utilized to diagnose the liquid-water flooding case in hydrogen flow channels for fuel cell stacks.
