Abstract: By simulations and experiments, a series of proper consumptions are confirmed about flat section, pure bending, neglect of weld line, etc. The bending of tailor-welded blanks is analyzed and the mathematical model of the springback in the bending of tailor welded blanks is deduced with exponential harden , pure plastic bending, the movement of neutral layer , the non-coincidence of the neutral layer between stress and strain. But in the deduction, the Bauschinger effect and the rotation of neutral layer are neglected. The springback angle of tailor-welded blank with thickness ratio 2(1.6/0.8 mm) is calculated for this analytical model and verified by free bending experiment. With the analysis of bending springback, the idea of relative bending radius of tailor-welded blanks is put forward.
