Abstract: Development history of magnetics and its applications is reviewed. One of its main application branches, I.e. the magnet mechanism is introduced, including its catalogue, development, present application situation and typical mechanisms. Design methods that are suitable for magnet mechanism designs are listed, and their advantages, disadvantages and applicable areas are also analyzed. Future research and development of mechanisms are forecasted.
