Abstract: The mechanical and mathematical models for the kineto-elastodynamic analysis of a multiple linkage oscillator mechanism with four-eccentric axis used in continuous casting machine are presented. In order to reduce the degrees of freedom, the lumped parametric method and variation section beam elements are introduced. The following effects are considered in the established model:the nonlinear resistance of plate balance springs and mold/slab friction during casting, the geometric non-linearity of leaf-spring band due to large deflection, and the torsional stiffness of transmissions axis. The generalized displacement coordinate relationships for assembling system’s governing equations are described. By means of time-frequency analysis it is found that complex resonances exist in this system, and the reasons of which are studied.
