Abstract: Based on Galerkin method, a rigid-plastic finite element model and its formulation are set up for analysis liquid extrusion process in non-stable thermal conduct and non-stable temperature field. A set of rigid-plastic FEM software is developed. By the software, the temperature fields of liquid extrusion separately in ordinary process parameters as well as in unsuitable process parameters are simulated. The breaking reasons of tube during forming are analyzed by means of combining the computer simulation and experiments. Furthermore, the conclusion that the key factor for obtaining the better quality products is the coordination between the deforming velocity and solidification velocity is got. The numerical results agree well with the experimental ones.
