MORPHOLOGICALY ANALYSISING METHOD FOR THE CHARACTERISTICS OF COUPLER CURVES OF LINKAGE MECHANISM

Abstract

Abstract: The problems existing in present methods for describing the coupler curve of linkage mechanism are analyzed. A new analyzing method based on mathematical morphology is proposed. It is shown that the characteristic parameters obtained by the new method are independent of the scale，direction and position of the coupler curve. A database for the coupler curves of linkage mechanisms，which is of small redundancy and quick to be retrieved，is built by using these characteristic parameters.
