Abstract: The developing process of functionally gradient materials and based upon its principle to study on the gradient self-lubricating sliding bearings is introduced. The optimum design method and manufacture process of gradient self-lubricating sliding bearings is discussed. The test results of behavior measure showed that the load carrying capacity, limiting pv value, wear resistance and service life is superior than that of homogeneous self-lubricating sliding bearings in the same condition.
