Abstract: When AMB is going to the investigation on it’s application, here have a lot of problems that must be solved. At first, one of the problems is the safety and stability or called as rotor dynamics. Rotor system with high rotation speed and specially supported is dealt with by active magnetic bearings, and studies its performance of rotor dynamics on the way of the combination traditional theory and method of rotor dynamics with the analyzing theory and design method of AMB system. Herein establishes a kind of method for investigating the AMB rotor dynamics on the basic theory of stiffness and damping of the system. As an application of the result on the analysis of above theory and method, a showpiece of 150 m3 turbo oxygen gas expander is manufactured and experimented.
