MODEL ON METHOD OF NC TOOL PATH INTERVAL ESTIMATION FOR FREE-FORM SURFACE MACHINING

Abstract

Abstract: An improved method for estimating the NC tool path interval with MODM is presented. The properties of the whole surface area between the paths can be obtained conveniently with MODM, so that the reliability of the results is guaranteed. Besides, a recursive rectification process is designed to optimize the results.
