Abstract: The method to machine the parts made of stainless steel which adopts cooled air as coolant and a little plant oil as lubricant, is studied. It has been shown that this method can retard the wear of the tool and prolong its service life; it can restrain the formation of the built-up-edge and improve the machining precision of the surfaces of the tooled parts; the disposal systems of both waste chips and liquid will be omitted, this will be beneficial to reduce processing cost, 'realize the production model without pollution and achieve the demand of IS014000.
