Abstract: For solving a new vibration isolation problem in undercarriages of heavy duty crawler-type bulldozers, tests are performed for determining the vibration conditions in the undercarriages. The test results show sprockets are important parts to be isolated vibration. The developmental studies for isolators with multiple tube damping composites are carried out according to structures and work conditions of the bulldozers. Theoretical analyses and experimental verification are also carried out. After a contrast experiment in a practical bulldozer, the date indicates that the vibration decibel values reduce 9 Db on the chair of the bulldozer installed the isolators.
